The thing that has stood out to me in our readings that has helped me the most is "People learn to write by writing" Pg. 3
While this seems so basic, and I knew it when it came to other areas of writing. Specifically poetry I thought I would not be able to write. It seemed more just like a gift, you either have it or you don't have it and I felt I didn't have it.
It is important to kick out our self limiting beliefs and know if we are going to be good at something we are going to have to work at it. To work at it means to actually do it, without being hard on ourselves or trying to come up with a false narrative as to why we can't do what we want to do. These are lies that will just make us sick.
July 2014 This is the scene of thee wreckage after the crash. |
This is my friend Josh and me out fishing. Josh is in the Marines and has a special place in my heart not only as a dear friend but as a service member. |
After that accident are you still willing to let them drive when traveling with them?
ReplyDelete@megan haha yes I have not been in the car with them ever again, and always insist on driving
DeleteDid everyone survive the accident? Was anyone severely injured?
ReplyDeleteMan Paul if you have told me this story before I think I didn't remember that it was so awful. You are truly blessed to be alive and glad you made it through. I really see now how experience has really helped you keep so upbeat and moving forward.
ReplyDeleteI had been in a similar accident when i was younger, glad you are still with us today.
